To keep our products exclusive, we regret that we can't supply everyone and exclusivity will only be given to a select few who place regular orders with us.

Seen something on the regular www.janemeans.com but can't find it on the trade site?
Many of our products on our retail site www.janemeans.com are bought in from other suppliers and wholesalers so we cannot offer these trade. Only the products featured in the 'Trade Area' are available at trade prices.
How are ribbons sold?
All our wholesale ribbons are sold in singles so you decide the quantites
To keep prices and administration costs down, Sage invoices wont be colour itemised if you order less than 6 per design (We will of course include a copy of your initial order so you've a breakdown of your items)
For example we will not state each individual colour but a total per style i.e. 24 x 3M Stitched Ribbon
What's your minimum order?
- Our minimum order is £75 (Excludes carriage & VAT)
- Carriage Paid (within the UK mainland only) is £200
How do I order?
Once you have registered as a Trade Customer you buy online at www.janemeans.com

How do I pay for a Trade Order?
We work on a Pro Forma basis and you can pay by:
- Debit Card (no charge)
- Credit Card (Add 3%)
- BACS (Please advise us of any payments)
How long will my order take?
As soon as we receive payment we will process and pack your order. Items are all in stock unless specified and if we receive your order and payment in the morning, we will try to dispatch it the same day so it's with you the following day. During our Peak periods please allow 48 hours for your order to be processed and packed
How much is Shipping?
All trade orders are now sent out with UPS.
The standard charge is £9.95 per order for most of Mainland UK.
If you are in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Wight, Highlands, Channel Islands and Overseas, we will get a courier quote for you.
Carriage paid is £200 (UK mainland only)
You are also welcome to use your own courier or collect from us in Lincoln (by appointment only).
If you have a freight forwarder we can also send to their address
Can you ship wholesale goods overseas?
Yes we ship worldwide. There is an additional £12 international bank charge for BACS payments (this is what our bank charges us).
We do ship internationally and can either send with UPS or your own courier.
Outside of Europe we will need to get a quote for you as you may have to pay an excess of your shipping cost
Do you supply other outlets in our area? Can we be exclusive?
Exclusivity is only given to customers who have place a minimum of 4 carriage paid orders with us per year.
Customers who place ad hoc or small orders will still be entitled to buy from us, however we won't be able to secure exclusivity. For full details about the updated exclusivity policy, please see the bottom paragraph.
As we also have a retail business and sell online, our products cannot be sold at the Country Living Fairs or through www.notonthehighstreet.com
Do you offer discount for large orders?
Yes we offer a discount scheme.
This is for a single order received in full (pro forma).
- £750 receives 4% discount
- £1500 receives 5% discount
- £2500 receives 6% discount
- £5000 receives 8% discount
Using our images
We are a member of ACID and the Copyright Licensing Agency. All images are property of Jane Means LTD. If you wish to use our images for marketing, prior consent will be required from us.
Rebranding Our Products
Jane Means owns all the intellectual property rights in their own designs and rebranding over the Jane Means logo is strictly forbidden
Our Exclusivity Policy
Due to our extensive, time consuming and successful advertising campaigns, we are having an increased number of trade enquiries and one of the key issues they usually raise is that of being exclusive in their town/area. Currently we limit the amount of outlets we supply in a specific area/postcode, however, due to the amount of enquiries and business we are turning away because of this policy, we will have to revise our exclusivity policy. New customers will be advised how many outlets are supplied in their area and if they place regular orders, we will restrict new customers in their area.
I'm sure you will appreciate in this climate that we are reluctant to turn away valuable business and cannot offer exclusivity to those who don't order regularily from us. Having been a previous shop owner I understand frustrations about this and we will continue to monitor the situation.
